FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas student organization Hogs for Hope will host their second annual Dance Marathon to benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospital on Saturday, March 12.
Dance Marathon is a 12-hour event that will be held at the Fayetteville Town Center from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Families, businesses, and students especially are encouraged to sign up and participate either individually or as a team.
The participants of this event help raise money for Arkansas Children’s Hospital all while having fun, dancing all day and night, playing games, and hearing inspiring stories from Arkansas Children’s Hospital patients and their families. During this past year alone Arkansas Children’s hospital received 49,000 outpatient visits and 450 kids were transported via Angel One from Northwest Arkansas for live-saving care.
All you have to do to register for this event is go to www.hogsforhope.com. The registration fee is only $15 which includes a t-shirt, food, and the opportunity to make a child’s day.
Dance Marathon is the largest fundraiser for Hogs for Hope and is not unique to the University of Arkansas alone. Universities across the United States participate in this event to help the kids in their communities and raise money for Children’s Miracle Network. Dance Marathon has raised $62 million for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals nationwide. Arkansas Children’s Hospital is the only Children’s Miracle Network hospital in the state.
