Russian Plane Goes Down in Sinai

A Russian plane went down over Egypt on Sunday, instantly killing the 224 people on board the flight. Viktor Sorochenko, executive Director of Russia’s interstate Aviation Committee told journalists, “disintegration of the fuselage took place in air and the fragments are scattered around a large area.

Authorities are now working to find the cause of the midair crash and say that terrorism has not been ruled out. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has asked the public not to, “jump to conclusions.” He noted that, “determining what happened will require a lengthy investigation.”
